Dr Will Sew Hoy

Will hails from Dunedin, a tropical metropolis located in the deep south. This ended up being ideal, as the only dental school in New Zealand is located there. Will completed both his dental and orthodontic degrees at the University of Otago Faculty of Dentistry.

After completing his orthodontic training, Will worked in Melbourne for 18 months. He then spent the next five years working in windy Wellington, before relocating to Auckland to join The Tooth Company Grey Lynn.

Will takes pride in delivering high quality, evidence-based orthodontic treatment tailored to each and every one of his patients. He especially enjoys getting to know his patients, and aims to make the orthodontic journey as enjoyable and informative as possible. Since graduating as an orthodontist in 2017, Will has been involved in the peer review of manuscripts for the European Journal of Orthodontics. This is one way that helps Will stay up to date with the latest orthodontic research.

Outside of work, Will enjoys anything and everything related to sport. Weekends are often spent watching live sport – predominantly athletics, rugby, cricket, formula one, tennis and cycling. He loves to keep fit via running, mountain biking and hitting the gym. Will is also a sucker for a good coffee, so you will likely see him out and about exploring as many cafes as possible!
