Dr Dominque Ferreira

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Dr. Ferreira completed her undergraduate degree at the University of the Western Cape. Shortly after graduating, she began working in general practice, which sparked her passion for specializing in orthodontics.

Dr. Ferreira then took on a lecturing role at the University of the Western Cape in the Prosthetics Department. Notably, she was one of the first female orthodontic specialists in South Africa, having been selected for a postgraduate position to pursue her specialization in orthodontics.

Since qualifying as an orthodontist in 2005, Dr. Ferreira has established two successful practices and balanced her professional pursuits with family life. Over the past twenty years, she has been blessed with four wonderful children, three of whom are now teenagers. Her eldest child has shown a keen interest in following in her footsteps, currently studying Dentistry.

Since immigrating to beautiful New Zealand in 2023, Dr. Ferreira has felt privileged to continue pursuing her passion for orthodontics and share her experience and skills with the New Zealand community.
