Dr Luci Wong

Dr Luci Wong is a Specialist Orthodontist at Lakes Orthodontics in Wānaka.

Luci earned both her Doctorate in Orthodontics and Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago. Before specialising, she gained valuable experience as a Dental and Maxillofacial House Surgeon at Hutt Valley Hospital and worked in private practice as a general dentist.

Her research thesis explored the impact of cleft lip conditions on smiling behaviour – work she has presented at national and international conferences. Luci has also contributed research to the Wish for a Smile Trust, a charity providing free orthodontic treatment to young New Zealanders who would otherwise lack access to care.

Luci enjoys getting to know her patients and sharing in the excitement of creating healthy, confident smiles. Originally from Wellington, she now calls Queenstown home and loves exploring the Southern Alps through climbing, biking, hiking, and skiing.
